



The group is designed to provide a safe place for women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse or sexual assault to join with others. The Wounded Heart Program is a 12-week Christ-centered small group. The consequences of sexual abuse can never be fully removed, yet when we lay our wounded heart before God’s tender kindness and strength, the power of shame cannot win.

In the midst of such tragedy, most of us have chosen to hide our hurts or attempted to heal ourselves. Although much of the current research has shown how one abusive event dims the life of the victim, we live in a time where sexually harmful behavior has become so common that we avoid naming it as abuse. He and his wife, Rebecca, live in the Puget Sound area and have three children and two grandsons.No one is immune to the impact of sexual abuse. Dan served as President of The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology in Seattle, Washington (2000-2009) and continues teaching as a Professor of Counseling there. From 1989-1997 he worked as a professor in the Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling program at Colorado Christian University, Denver, Colorado. in Counseling Psychology from Michigan State University.ĭan taught in the Biblical Counseling Department of Grace Theological Seminary for seven years (1983-1989). from Westminster Theological Seminary and his Ph.D.
